February 2015 Surprise my Pet Box Review

febsmpholdIf you love subscription boxes I’m pretty sure your pet would love them too! I don’t have a pet anymore but I had friends who did and their dog LOVED it! This new pet subscription box called Surprise My Pet sends your pet (cat/dog) 5-7 handpicked items depending on your plan. You can pick from month-to-month, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months at a time. If you sign up for an annual plan you get a free bonus in your first box! So your box can range from $29-$39 per month depending on the length of the subscription. If you want to be super savvy and save even more money you can check out the discount on Groupon so you can pay $15 for one month (regularly $39) or $59 for 3 months. I don’t know how long this will last so as of June 18, 2015 this offer still works.

So let’s get on the toys and treats!

Since my box was a sample I got 3 items (normally you get  5-7):

febsmptreatSmokehouse Prime Slices. Retail: $6.50. There were two 100% natural slices slowly roasted for 53 hours! Talk about flavor. It was harder than jerky for humans but for dogs they literally chew it right up.

febsmpchickenCadet Chicken Tenders. Retail: $10.50. These are also 100% natural chicken tenders with high protein. The pup loved these as well! These are softer and just as tasty. I believe there were 5 pieces in these.

febsmpballSpot Vermont Fleece Dog Toy. Retail: $5.50. This was a fleece ball that made a squeaky sound when your dog bites into it. I like this because it’s not obnoxiously loud when you throw it. Of course after awhile of throwing these and your dog fetching it- it gets super wet. No surprise there!

Overall my box had $23.00 worth of toy/treats in there but it was only a portion of the normal box so you would get at least 2 more toys/treats. All orders will be shipped between 15th and 21st. USPS Ground and it takes 2-8 days to deliver so expect it to arrive around the end of the month. Plus, for each shipped out box they help support animals in need.
